Founded in 1956, we are a member owned, not-for-profit organization that serves a closed membership of employees and their immediate family members in the Bloomfield, Aztec and Blanco school districts. Our members are united by a common bond and democratically operate the credit union. BAB Credit union is regulated by New Mexico and federal regulations.
The mission of the BAB Credit Union as established by the Board and members and contained within the by-laws is to promote thrift among its members and to create a source of credit that is easily accessible by the membership.

It shall be the goal of this organization to establish low yet legitimate rates of interest which will generate the money required to properly operate the credit union within the guidelines of State and Federal laws governing such organizations. The organization shall establish dividends, which are to be paid at a maximum rate and therefore encourage members to establish individual savings plans through the organization.
